TARRAGONA, Spain (Reuters) — Ferrari vice president Piero Ferrari and F1 test pilot Marc Gene unveiled Ferrari Land on Thursday (May 6), the first theme and leisure park devoted to the Italian brand in Europe.

The iconic Italian motor-sports brand opened a 70,000 square-meter- space inside Tarragona´s Port Aventura amusement park.

Visitors can ride in the two new main constructions at the park.

Red Force is a 112-meter-high ride that accelerates up to 180 km/h (111 miles per hour) in 5 seconds.

Free Fall Tower and Bounce Back Tower allow riders to experience the thrill of falling from a 55 meter-high structure in a few seconds.

A new 570-meter race track has also been built in order to give clients the opportunity to drive a kart shaped as a Ferrari sports car.

The park has an area in which visitors can take a glimpse at some of Italy´s landmarks, including recreations of the Colosseum, the La Scala theatre of Milan and the home where Ferrari´s owner Enzo Ferrari spent his early years.
