Explosion at east China’s petrochemical company kills at least one

China (Reuters) – At least one person was killed, six others were injured and seven more were missing after an explosion happened Monday morning at a petrochemical company in east China’s Shandong Province.

It was learned that a liquefied gas tanker exploded at around 01:00 Monday and the fire spread in the loading area of the Linyi Jinyu Petrochemical Co. Ltd. in the Lingang Economic Development Zone in the city.

Rescue teams evacuated workers and continued monitoring the poisonous and combustible chemicals stored in the plant.
