From red carpet to awards ceremony, EVM Awards 2016 had been a glamorous and momentous affair as it recognized the works of up and coming film-makers from INCinema, a project of the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo). Cannes Film Festival best actress Ms. Jaclyn José also graced the EVM awards at Resort World Manila on June 05 as one of the presenters.
The veteran and award-winning actress was the first from Southeast Asia to be given an award by the prestigious film festival.
“This is a gift for God for me,” said Jose who explained that she never thought that she would win the best actress award in an interview by Eagle News entertainment writer MJ Racadio.
Jose said she is dedicating her award to her children and to God. (Eagle News Services- MJ Racadio).
