Eleazar: Arnold Padilla the subject of case build-up even before video showing him in altercation with traffic enforcers went viral

(Eagle News) –The man who was seen in a video apparently verbally assaulting traffic enforcers who had only flagged him down for a traffic violation was the subject of a case buildup even before the video went viral.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Guillermo Eleazar said in an interview over radio dzbb that this was following the revocation of the license to possess firearms of Arnold Padilla.

Padilla was arrested on Friday, Aug. 24, in April, after a raid in his houses yielded several firearms.

“Napag-alaman natin na as early as April pala na-revoke na ang kanyang mga lisensya kasi nag-submit siya ng fake drug test result nung mag-aapply siya ng license to possess firearms,” Eleazar said.

According to Eleazar, Padilla was also the subject of complaints by several individuals in his neighborhood.

A viral video showed Padilla, his live-in partner and bodyguards in an altercation with traffic enforcers who had flagged them down on Edsa.

At one point, Padilla’s group was seen verbally and physically assaulting enforcers.
