Eight boys and eight girls named newest Jr. NBA All-Stars for 2017

Pasay City – Graced by the presence of Orlando Magic point guard Elfrid Payton, WNBA Legend Sue Wicks and the special guest NBA Legend Dikembe Mutombo, the last stretch of Junior NBA Philippines for this year which was presented by Alaska National Training Camp, ended today – May 14, 2017, at SM Mall of Asia Activity Center. At the end of the program, the most awaited announcement of who made it to the list was revealed.

Eight boys from across the country were chosen for Junior NBA All-stars and also 8 girls were selected for Junior WNBA All-stars.

Most of the chosen female players like Jazmine Maniquis, Camille Nolasco,  Lindsey Nacional, Jeehan Ahmed and the Female MVP- Boni Marylene Solis came from Manila while Graciey De Mesa hails from Lucena and Chinnsai Demana came all the way from Cebu city.

Junior NBA 2017 All-stars are also dominated by representatives from Manila namely Jhondel Austria, Victorino Torres, Ian Dominic Espinosa and Echo Laure – the son of PBA player Eddie Laure – while the MVP Kenji Duremdes came from Alaska Power Campers together with Jan Clement Macalalag.

For the Best Coach Award – Catrina Biongcog bagged the title for female category while Jed Cabellon was named best male coach.

These selected players and coaches will then fly overseas later this year for an NBA experience trip together with other NBA All-Stars in Southeast Asia.
