EDMONTON (Eagle News) — The three-day Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo, or Edmonton Expo for short, was a  successful and fun event not only for the kids but also for the adults who dressed up in their favorite science fiction, comic book, horror, fantasy, pop culture and animated characters.

The annual event was held from September 22 to 24 at the Edmonton, Alberta Expo Center where many exhibitors and vendors displayed their crafts and specialties for attendees to marvel upon and purchase if they wanted. Memorabilia for sale also drew long lines.

While the 2017 convention focused on all things nerdy, 2018 concentrated on celebrity guests, comic book artists, creators, toy vendors, cosplayers and so much more.

Some of the celebrities that graced the occasion were David Tennant (Dr. Who), Matt Smith (Dr. Who) Mark Sheppard (Supernatural), Ray Park (Star Wars). The celebrities mingled, signed autographs and took time for photo ops with fans.

The details of the costumes may have wowed the spectators but the enthusiasm of the fans stole the show.
