(Eagle News) — EBC Films launched to select media outlets the full trailer of its next project “Guerrero Dos, Tuloy ang Laban,” as well as its soundtrack produced by E25 Records, at the Movie Stars Café in Centris Mall in Quezon City on Friday, July 12.
This latest film project of Eagle Broadcasting Corporation came about as audiences from all over the world demanded a “part 2” of its first film “Guerrero.”
EBC Films responded with this long-awaited sequel.
During the trailer reveal, Director Carlo Cuevas shared bits and pieces of the film which answered many questions left hanging in the first Guerrero film.
The event was supported by the management of Eagle Broadcasting Corporation headed by Weng Dela Fuente-Deimoy, President; Precy Gozum, Chief Operating Officer; Laila Tumanan, Net25 Station Manager; and Robert Capistrano, EBC Films Head of Operations.
Also present during the trailer reveal is the main cast of Guerrero Dos composed of PMPC Best Child Actor 2017 Julio Sabernorio, Genesis Gomez, Mia Suarez and veteran actor/director Art De Guzman.
“Guerrero Dos: Tuloy ang Laban” is scheduled to hit cinemas nationwide in October 2019.
Presently, the first “Guerrero” film is still being enjoyed by international audiences overseas, with successful screenings done in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
This film is written and directed by Cuevas who won the Best Director in Foreign Language for the film “Walang Take Two” at the International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in London and the Best New Comer Filmmaker of the Year at the World Film Awards in Jakarta, Indonesia. Cuevas’ last film, Guerrero, recently won Best Feature Comedy Film at the Amsterdam International Film Festival 2018 and Best Editing in a Foreign Language Film at the Madrid International Film Festival 2018.
“The ultimate reason why we, EBC films, are making movies is to promote values. And I believe that promoting values doesn’t have to be boring. So we are trying our best to educate and inspire the audience without sacrificing entertainment value,” said Cuevas.
