Duterte on war against drugs: No one is exempted

(Eagle News)– President Rodrigo Duterte on early Thursday defended his war on drugs was not anti-poor.

“Just because you are poor, you are excused from apprehension…? Rich or poor, I do not give a s**t. My order is to destroy” the President said.
Duterte said that majority of shabu users are poor and sold in not so well-off communities, compared to cocaine and heroin which was sold in  exclusive subdivisions.
“Mahihirap ang marami kasi they are an easy target,” he said.
“Wala akong nakitang nag-distribute diyan sa Forbes Park, nagbabantay din ako, kasi ang mga tao diyan hindi shabu ang hinihirit diyan. Ang mga tao diyan hinihirit ay cocaine pati heroin,” Duterte added.
The President clarified that his campaign exempted no one.
Philippine National Police chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa revealed on Tuesday that these past seven weeks, a total of 1,916 deaths had been recorded, but only 756 of these were during police operations.
