(Eagle News) – President Rodrigo Duterte directed the expulsion and dismissal of three police senior cadets at the Philippine National Police Academy involved in the “hazing” of two male plebes where oral sex was forced on them.

Duterte said he will never tolerate such actions which traumatize victims, leaving a “deep psychological” wound.

Speaking during the situation briefing in Isabela Thursday, Nov. 1, Duterte said there is no place for such people in his government.

He said he had already read the report on the PNPA incident on Oct. 6 in Silang, Cavite and his decision was to immediately dismiss the police cadets involved in such inappropriate acts.

I’m warning you, I will never tolerate that kind na ‘yung hazing,” said Duterte as he cited the “dehumanizing” form of hazing forced on the two first year PNPA cadets by an upper classman while two other upper class cadets watched.

“I have no place for people… You know, you give me a soldier from the PMA or from the PNPA, nandoon tapos you rob them of his dignity. You dehumanize him and he goes out feeling tapos maging official ‘yan maging general tapos gawain mo ng ganoon…” he said.

Duterte said that he had also experienced a fraternity hazing where he refused a command for him to kiss another man and had to endure 300 beatings as a consequence. He was hospitalized after that, he said.
“Ako dumaan ako ng hazing. I endured pain. I was hospitalized but kaming mga ano ‘yung mga elders, we really wrote them a formal letter signed by Justice Acosta,” he said.

Sabi ko, ‘I, I cannot do it.

“So sabi nila plus 300 na palo. Sabi ko, ‘Sige, go ahead’. So I was hospitalized after that. ‘Yung mga ganun. Tapos sa lalaki ihian mo ‘yung bunganga. I don’t need that kind of policemen. Not for me, during my time, in my generation, for the next generation of Filipinos. You do not train a soldier or a policeman who goes out of the academy with a trauma. It’s a deep psychological insult ‘yan and it stays in the head,” he said.
He said such things are really taboo and not the work of true men. Those kind of people should not enter the police force, Duterte said.

“And kayo, ba’t maligayahan ka na ___ makita mo ‘yung tao na anong ginawa mo? And that kind of thing is really taboo. Hindi ‘yan gawain ng lalaki. So whatever decision pagkadating ‘yan sa akin it is actually dismissal na. I don’t need that kind of s***,” he said.
