DOTr suspends three private emission testing centers for alleged falsification of emission tests

(Eagle News)–The Department of Transportation has suspended three private emission testing centers allegedly for falsification of emission tests.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 12, the DOTr said suspended were the BMC Emission Testing Center in Urdaneta, Pangasinan; the Gold Star Emission Testing Center in Agoo, La Union; and the Fatjeta Emission Testing Center in Barangay Sto. Domingo in Quezon City.

The DOTr said the preliminary suspension orders were issued from Feb. 21 to March 1.

The agency said the suspension order was effective for 90 days.

“Aside from the PETCs concerned, copies of the suspension order were likewise served to the PETC IT service provider, which shall be subject to the same penalties should it disregard the said order by continuing to process any data  transmitted by such PETCs,” the DOTr said.
