(Eagle News) — Labor Chief Silvestre Bello III has applied for the Ombudsman post which will be vacated this year by Ombudsman Conchita Carpio Morales.
Bello submitted his application and completed his supporting documents submitted to the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) Tuesday, May 15.
Aside from Bello, a former lawyer for President Rodrigo Duterte and former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo, Atty. Edna Batacan, also applied for the Ombudsman position.
Former presiding justice of Sandiganbayan, Edilberto Sandoval, and President Rodrigo Duterte’s classmate in San Beda College Rex Rico are also among the applicants for the Ombudsman post.
