DOJ offers protection to witnesses of Castillo hazing slay

QUEZON City, Philippine (Eagle News) — Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre III offered to place under the witness protection program those who will testify and tell the government what they know regarding the death of Horacio Castillo III.

“If they want to tell the truth or clear their names they can come to my office and we will place them under the Witness Protection Program (WPP),” Aguirre said in a statement.

Aguirre said that witnesses can go to the DOJ in order to clear their names and be placed under witness protection.

“They can trust us, they have nothing to fear from us,” he said. “They should fear more the ones hiding them or the ones advising them not to come out,” he added.

The DOJ also created a “Horacio” hotline – 0995442 9241 – for anyone that wants to share information on the death of the lawyer student.
