Certain provisions of the Disbursement Acceleration Program or DAP have been declared unconstitutional.
This is exactly the decision of the Supreme Court. Consequently, the Palace reaped criticism from some sectors of our society due to the false distribution of additional funds to the legislators.
There also calls for the return of the said funds to the state coffers by those involved in the issue.
In its defense, the Palace said that they made use of the DAP “in good faith”.
Some militant groups are pushing for the impeachment aof President Aquino, saying that it is the duty of every Filipino to be vigilant regarding the funds of the government.
