(Eagle News)—Senator Leila de Lima cast her vote in her polling precinct in Parañaque on Monday, May 13.
De Lima, who is detained in Camp Crame for illegal drug cases, was granted furlough by the courts to allow her to exercise her right to suffrage at the Saint Rita College at 12 noon.
The senator was guarded by around 100 Philippine National Police Custodial personnel, her office said.
It said she was also accompanied by former Commission on Elections Chair Sixto Brillantes Jr., a personal friend.
It took De Lima approximately six minutes to cast her vote.
