(Eagle News)–COVID-19 cases among police personnel have breached the 5,000 mark.

The 5,060 confirmed cases among police personnel were as of Sunday night, Philippine National Police data showed.

This was an increase of 113 from the 4947 reported on Saturday night.

The PNP data also showed recoveries rose by 91, bringing the total to 3623.

No additional deaths were reported.

Suspect cases are at 3368, and probable cases at 758.

The police remain among the country’s frontliners amid the COVID-19 pandemic, as they enforce laws and man community quarantine checkpoints.

Earlier, the PNP inked an agreement with the Makati Medical Center to ensure the health and wellbeing of the police amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
