Comelec issues Notice of Counting and Canvassing

MANILA, May 7 – Pursuant to Comelec Resolution Nos. 10112 and 10113, the Special Board of Election Inspectors (SBEI) of Committee on Detainee Voting will CONVENE on May 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. and everyday thereafter, until terminated, at the Session Hall, Commission on Elections, 8th Floor, Palacio del Gobernador, Intramuros, Manila. Parties shall be notified if there is a need to change the venue stated above.

This is contained in a notice of counting and canvassing signed by the Special Board of Canvassers, namely, Dindo S. Maglasang, Chairman; Albert Leonard C. Rodriguez, Vice Chairman; and Erwin S. Villarin, member.

The same notice stated that the Special Board of Canvassers (SBOC) of Committee on Detainee Voting will convene on May 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. and everyday thereafter, until terminated, at the Session Hall, Commission on Elections, 8th Floor, Palacio del Gobernador, Intramuros, Manila. Parties shall be notified if there is a need to change the venue stated above.

The members of the SBEI shall count the ballots of the detainee voters and accomplish the Election Returns, while the SBOC shall canvass the Election Returns, and accomplish the Statement of Votes, Summary Statement of Votes, and Certificate of Canvass of Votes.

For the above purpose, the candidates or parties are enjoined to submit the names of two (2) watchers, who shall serve alternately, to the Committee on Detainee Voting, 8th Floor, Palacio del Gobernador Building, Intramuros, Manila, on or before May 9, 2016. (Comelec/PIA)
