Meanwhile, Kheil Vin Santiago reached out to Coldplay via a public letter posted through social media on March 24. Santiago narrated the story of his younger brother Ken, who is an avid fan of the British rock band.

“Since the Coldplay had started, my brother, Ken, has been an avid fan. The moment the Coldplay announced that they will be having [a] concert in the Philippines, Ken was very much excited to buy tickets. He was the one who bravely line[d] up to buy your tickets. He bought the nearest possible tickets our money can afford,” Santiago wrote.

“But just last February this year, he was diagnosed with Cancer stage 4. It was very shocking news for everybody ‘coz he was a very normal man, a very generous, kind, loving, and most of all, a God-fearing one. We did not expect this to happen. Every day in the hospital, his hobby is to play music from Coldplay,” he added.

The Santiagos were shocked when Chris Martin personally visited Ken at the hospital and handed him premium Coldplay memorabilia.

Although Ken cannot speak because of his health condition, he expressed his gratitude to the lead singer by writing on a white board. “I can’t thank you enough,” he said.
