Duterte to lead program in honor of Rizal in Davao

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte will lead Rizal Day rites in Davao City. Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo made the announcement in an advisory on Saturday, Dec. 29. He said the program will start at 4 p.m. In previous instances, Duterte led a wreath-laying ceremony in Luneta in commemoration of Rizal.

Pasay court junks electoral sabotage case vs Arroyo

President Duterte visits wake of Surigao del Sur Gov. Vicente Pimentel Jr.

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte visited on Friday night the wake of Surigao del Sur Gov. Vicente Pimentel Jr. Rep. Johnny Pimentel, the governor’s brother, posted pictures of the President’s visit. The governor died on Tuesday, Dec. 25, a day after he checked out from the hospital. He was 71. His wake is at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque. His remains will be flown to Surigao del Sur on Saturday.
