No row between PNP and AFP

The Officer-in-Charge of the Philippine National Police Deputy Director General Reynaldo Espina said that there is now row between the PNP and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, saying that there is only a disparity between the information collected by each organization and that they are emphasizing different points.

BBL passage unlikely – Biazon

DOJ starts parallel probe of Mamasapano incident

The Department of Justice is now investigating the Jan. 25 encounter in Mamasapano, Maguindanao that killed 44 members of the Special Action Force (SAF) and 17 members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front. Said session is an open session, which means that the media is invited to witness the proceedings.

Brillantes to resign as COMELEC Chairman

Chairman of the Commission on Elections, Sixto Brillantes is scheduled to retire this week but he assured the public that the COMELEC’s plan for the 2016 elections will go smoothly. Other than Brillantes, two other Commissioners will also resign, leaving the COMELEC only four commissioners to handle the preparations for the 2016 elections.
