Seryoso umano ang Philippine National Police na resolbahin ang dumaraming kaso ng summary killings sa bansa na hinihinalang kagagawan ng vigilante group. Ang problema lang ng mga pulis, wala raw lumulutang na kaanak ang mga biktima kaya nahihirapan sila na tumbukin ang motibo at ang mga suspek na nasa likod nito. 116 cops, test positive for illegal drugs

PNP unearths high-powered firearms in Mayor Espinosa’s yard

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) – The Philippine National Police (PNP) was able to recover illegal drugs and high-powered firearms in the property of Mayor Rolando Espinosa in Sitio Tinago, Brgy. Binoldo, Albuera, Leyte. According to PNP Chief Inspector Jovy Espinido, they found the high-powered firearms in the yard of the property while the illegal drugs was discovered in the kitchen. The illegal drugs weighed 11 kilos which has the street value of Php 88 million.

Congress proposes clearing of sidewalks

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) – There is a proposal in the House of Representatives that will prohibit vendors in the sidewalk as well as making use of the same as parking space. The proposed House Bill 2561 prohibits all kinds of obstructions on sidewalks in order to open up side roads to traffic, which in turn will alleviate the traffic problem besetting Metro Manila.

DepEd prioritizes ALS

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Department of Education (DepEd) is currently prioritizing the Alternative Learning System or ALS. According to Education Secretary Leonor Briones, a large part of her proposed budget of Php 571 billion is earmarked for ALS. Briones explained that it is important to prioritize ALS to give every Filipino the opportunity to get an education.
