QC government proposes ban on Pokemon Go

LGU should give cash for work to drug dependents – Ejercito

QUEZON City, Philippines – Senator JV Ejercito is encouraging the local government units (LGUs) to take a lead in the campaign against illegal drugs. DOLE to give reward to informants against illegal recruiters

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is giving Php 50, 000 as reward for those that will give information regarding illegal recruiters. End of “endo” not aimed against investors

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Senator Joel Villanueva clarified that the government’s thrust to end labor contractualization or “endo” is not aimed to hinder investments. Senator Villanueva said that there should be a fair law that will prohibit “endo” – especially those that employ contractual employees for only a short time, thus only minimally benefiting the contractual employees. He added that he will try to have the proposed law passed within the year.

COMELEC to strictly implement anti-political dynasty law in SK elections

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will strictly implement the anti-political dynasty provisions of the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015 in the upcoming SK elections. Candidates for SK must declare if they have any relatives who are in public service. If candidates fail to comply with the provisions, they will be disqualified as well as charged with perjury.  

CIDG Bulacan under investigation regarding kidnapping case

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Philippine National Police – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) is now investigating the involvement of its personnel in a kidnapping case in Bulacan.
