Opposition lawmakers criticize declaration of state of lawlessness

QUEZON City, Philippines – Opposition lawmakers criticized President Rodrigo Duterte’s declaration of state of lawlessness. According to Albay Congressman Edcel Lagman, the declaration of state of lawlessness is useless because it does not give additional powers to the President. He said that what the declarations only show is that the President is serious in bringing those responsible to justice in exchange for public alarm.

BSP against amendment of bank secrecy law
