Malacanang declares May 14 as special non-working holiday

(Eagle News) – Malacanang has declared May 14, the day of the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, as a special non-working holiday. Based on the issued proclamation number 479 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte, the special non-working holiday was declared  to give the public an opportunity to vote. The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has already submitted a request to the presidential office for election day to be declared a holiday.
