New MMDA Chairman vows to eliminate corruption in the agency

(Eagle News) — Newly appointed Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Danny Lim promised that he will clean the agency under his leadership. Lim’s first step is to do an inventory of MMDA’s equipment, personnel and transactions to eliminate corruption in the agency. “I-inventory natin yung resources diyan, not to find fault pero gusto kong malaman kung saan ako nag-uumpisa,” Lim said in an interview. MMDA arrests more than 100 motorists due to distracted driving

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) – On the first day of the implementation of the Anti-Distracted Driving Law, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority caught more than 100 motorists violating the law through its non-contact apprehension policy. According to MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialogo, most of the drivers were caught texting. Their acts were captured by MMDA’s high definition traffic cameras installed along Edsa.

LTFRB to clarify scope of Anti-Distracted Driving Law
