Authorities discover “mini-plantation” of marijuana in Marikina City

(Eagle News) — A “mini-plantation” of  marijuana was discovered by authorities in Marikina City on Thursday, June 7. Two people, Miguel Joseph Arias and Danica Joyce Tapar, were arrested following the discovery of the plantation in SSS Village, Barangay Concepcion that housed P4 million worth of marijuana at 10 p.m. A 17-year-old was also placed under custody. DOTr to start distribution of fuel vouchers to jeepney drivers next month

(Eagle News) — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) will start the distribution of fuel vouchers to jeepney drivers next month. According to Transportation Undersecretary Tim Orbos, the vouchers are to help mitigate the effects of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law on drivers.
