Grab to passengers: Avoid using Edsa as pick-up, drop-off points during rush hours

La Mesa Dam near spilling level; overflowing of Tullahan River feared

(Eagle News) —  As of Tuesday, August 14, La Mesa dam’s water elevation has reached 79.06 meters.  It increased to 79.16 meters as of Wednesday, August 15, less than a meter before its spilling level of 80.15 meters. LTFRB urged not to renew Grab’s license to operate

(Eagle News)—Ride-hailing company Hype has filed a petition asking the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board not to renew Grab’s license to operate. In seeking the same, Hype noted what it said were Grab’s violations of rules governing Transport Network Vehicle Services, including its alleged overcharging of over P100 to passengers during rush hours. Grab has filed a petition to renew its certificate of accreditation, which expired on  July 3.

MMDA lifts number-coding scheme in all cities in M. Manila except in Las Piñas, Makati

(Eagle News)–The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Monday, Aug. 13, lifted the number-coding scheme. The MMDA said the suspension applies to cities in Metro Manila, except for Las Piñas and Makati. The suspension came as the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration forecast continuous monsoon rains in Metro Manila on this day, with two tropical storms outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility enhancing the southwest monsoon.
