President Duterte appoints new Comelec commissioner

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed a new commissioner of the Commission on Elections. Comelec-Davao deputy director Marlon Sabucido Casquejo was appointed to the post based on an appointment letter dated June 18. The letter was signed by the President. Casquejo’s term as ad interim commissioner will expire on Feb. 2, 2025.
