NDRRMC: Almost 700,000 individuals in Luzon affected by southwest monsoon enhanced by storms

(Eagle News)–Almost 700,000 people in Luzon were affected by the  southwest monsoon enhanced by storms. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office said the 691,574 individuals come from the 469 barangays across Luzon. This translates to  a total of 154,671 families  from the National Capital Region, Regions I, III, IV-A, and Cordillera Administrative Region. LTFRB urged not to renew Grab’s license to operate

(Eagle News)—Ride-hailing company Hype has filed a petition asking the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board not to renew Grab’s license to operate. In seeking the same, Hype noted what it said were Grab’s violations of rules governing Transport Network Vehicle Services, including its alleged overcharging of over P100 to passengers during rush hours. Grab has filed a petition to renew its certificate of accreditation, which expired on  July 3.
