House approves proposed P6.7-billion budget for OP
(Eagle News)–The House of Representatives on Wednesday, Aug. 29, approved the proposed P6.773 billion 2019 budget of the Office of the President–in less than ten minutes. It was Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman who made the motion to approve the budget after representatives of the OP made their presentation. Rep. Prospero Pichay seconded the motion. The proposed 2019 budget of the OP is higher than its P6-billion appropriation in 2018.

Duterte makes new appointments in ERC, NYC

Duterte signed the appointment of Ronald Gian Cardema as chair of the NYC on Aug. 23. He also appointed lawyer Alexis Lumbatan as ERC member.
