Vice mayor injured  (Eagle News)–The mayor of a La Union town and two others died after the vehicle he was riding was fired at by still-unidentified assailants on Monday, Oct. 1. Two policemen caught sleeping, drunk sacked

(Eagle News)– National Capital Region Police Office Chief Guillermo Eleazar has sacked two policemen after he caught them asleep and drunk during a surprise inspection of police stations early Monday, Oct. 1. Sacked were PO3 Rey Gusi of PCP 8 of the Las Piñas City Police Station and P03 Joselier Labada of the Paranaque Police Station. Gusi was caught sleeping on duty, while Labada was drunk. The two have been assigned to the Regional Headquarters Support Unit.

Sandiganbayan approves Jinggoy Estrada’s bid to travel to Singapore

SWS: More Filipinos satisfied with President Duterte’s performance

(Eagle News)—More Filipinos are satisfied with President Rodrigo Duterte’s performance, based on the latest Social Weather Stations survey. The third Quarter 2018 Social Weather Stations survey conducted from September 15 to 23, 2018 found 70% of Filipinos were satisfied, 14% undecided, and 16% were dissatisfied with the President’s performance. Up to 50 million Facebook accounts breached in attack
