JBC releases shortlist of individuals vying for Chief Justice post

(Eagle News)—The Judicial and Bar Council has released the names shortlisted for the position of Chief Justice. Included in the shortlist were Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio and Associate Justices Estela Perlas-Bernabe, Diosdado Peralta, Lucas Bersamin and Andres Reyes Jr. The shortlist will undergo scrutiny on Friday. Those shortlisted are vying for the position left vacant by Chief Justice Teresita Leonardo de Castro, who retired in October.
