(Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck Leyte on Tuesday, Dec. 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck at 5:32 a.m. The epicenter of the quake–which was tectonic in origin and had a dept of focus of 6 kilometers —was located 8 kilometers northwest of Calubian. The town and Naval in Biliran felt an Intensity III tremor, while Bogo and Ormoco felt an Intensity I tremor. No damage nor aftershocks were expected.
