(Eagle News)—More than 3000 passengers are stranded in ports across the country due to the bad weather, the Philippine Coast Guard said. President Duterte visits wake of Surigao del Sur Gov. Vicente Pimentel Jr.

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte visited on Friday night the wake of Surigao del Sur Gov. Vicente Pimentel Jr. Rep. Johnny Pimentel, the governor’s brother, posted pictures of the President’s visit. The governor died on Tuesday, Dec. 25, a day after he checked out from the hospital. He was 71. His wake is at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque. His remains will be flown to Surigao del Sur on Saturday.
