DepEd sets holiday break for public schools

According to the Department of Education that the holiday break for public schools should start on December 18 and will last until January 3. The DepEd also reminded schools in Metro Manila to set make-up classes to cover for the days with no classes during the APEC summit. China constructs more airstrips in disputed territories

According to reports, China is constructing three more airstrips inside the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone in the Spratlys Island. Meanwhile,  experts said airstrips will enhance the capability of China to act in the said area. DSWD receives P104 million support from Australia to boost disaster response capacity

The Philippines Government and the Australian Government have partnered to strengthen the capacity of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in responding to natural disasters and emergencies, through a P104 million (A$3 million) grant under a three-year Support Program for Disaster Response.
