According to Presidential Communications Secretary Sonny Coloma politics changed Senator Grace Poe’s view after said senator made a statement about the administration’s reform program, saying that “masyadong ma-traffic ang daang-matuwid kaya hindi nakamit ang totoong kaunlaran.” Coloma added that Poe became the number one senator last time due to her adherence to the “daang-matuwid”. According to the Department of Budget and Management, government spending reached 558.5 billion pesos or a 19% increase in the 3rd quarter of 2015 compared to the same period last year.
