After making a statement that there are plans to conduct another freedom-of-navigation patrol inside the twelve nautical miles of the artificial islands made by China in West Philippine Sea, the United States Navy issued a new statement that it may no longer make said patrol this year. According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the tropical storm “Nona” may leave the Philippine area of responsibility this coming Friday but may make a landfall on Oriental Mindoro before that. “Nona” is currently in Romblon.
