DOE tries to verify reports of sabotage on election day

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Department of Energy is still verifying reports regarding plans of power supply sabotage during the election. According to Energy Secretary Zenaida Monsada, the department will be alert and there is also a high possibility of power interruption even if there is no sabotage. Human rights victims may wait for a long time for compensation

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Human Rights Victims Claims Board admits that said victims will still wait for a long time before they are compensated. Said agency said that it received 75, 000 applications and have verified 20, 000 only. Said delay was due to the difficulty of verifying allegations of torture. Elephant collapses and dies carrying tourist in 40 degrees celcius heat

An elephant that had been forced to carry people on its back for 15 years in Cambodia’s tourism industry has collapsed and died after transporting two tourists on its back in blistering heat. Facebook User Yem Senok posted pictures of the collapsed elephant, an elderly female one known as Sambo. China, Indonesia to boost security ties despite South China Sea row

Chinese and Indonesian officials pledged to boost security ties, marine cooperation and infrastructure investment, after a diplomatic spat over what Indonesia called a breach of its sovereignty by the Chinese coastguard.
