Ombudsman releases President Duterte’s SALN

(Eagle News)– The Office of the Ombudsman released on Friday what it said was President Rodrigo Duterte’s Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth. Based on the statement, Duterte’s net worth was pegged at P27,428,862.44 as of December 31, 2016. The president’s basic monthly salary increased from P165,752 to P222,278 starting January 2017.  

PRC building receives bomb threat

(Eagle News)– The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) office in Manila received a bomb threat Friday (May 12) afternoon. Work was disrupted as employees and people inside the office were evacuated out of the building. The security personnel reportedly received a phone call at about 11 a.m. that informed a bomb would supposedly explode inside edifice. PHL records the most number of HIV cases in March

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Almost 1,000 new HIV/AIDS cases — or 968 cases to be exact — were reported last March, the highest figure in the country since 1984, the Department of Health said. DOF: Gov’t losing P145-B in foregone revenues from non-adjustment of fuel excise taxes
