BARCELONA, Spain (Eagle News)– The newly revealed battle cry of the mobile industry, ‘Mobile is Everything’ has been splattered everywhere at the Mobile World Congress with its official start onFebruary 22, 2016.

The Mobile industry operators, developers and internet companies present at the biggest, showiest annual event of the mobile world prove just that to the estimated 100,000 visitors.

On Day 1, as expected, the mobiles fought for attention, with some like Samsung, Huawei and ZTE even launching a day before the official start of the MWC. Smart phones, mobile products, peripherals and more need to stand out from the crowd to be noticed by industry players and much more for the consuming public. The big boys of the industry like Samsung, Song and LG all made big announcements about mobile hardware. Samsung’s pride and joy the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge debut to the adoring press who was not disappointed.  Sony relaunches the Experia line featuring longer battery life. The LG G5’s modular concept hardware certainly got noticed.

GSMA director general Mats Granryd, is one of the keynote speakers at the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona, Spain. The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting nearly 800 operators with more than 250 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset and device makers, software companies, equipment providers and Internet companies, as well as organisations in adjacent industry sectors. The GSMA also produces industry-leading events such as Mobile World Congress.

Well the key notes, where industry leaders discuss various topics affecting the future of connectivity and industry trends. The master of the universe of the digital world himself, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook CEO, leads the pack as the most awaited speaker.

The Auditorium 1 was filled to the brink, as virtual reality, free basics, mobile video, artificial intelligence and connectivity were all deliberated by Zuckerberg and Wired’s Senior Writer, JessiHempel. Zuckerberg’s message brings to mind what was declared by French PhilospherDecartes centuries ago, I think, therefore I am.
