NORTH Brisbane, Australia – 05 February 2017 – The members of the Society of Communicators and Networkers (SCAN) in Eastern Australia, together with their family members, convened in a special gathering and listened to the special message of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) Executive Minister, Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo, in line with the SCAN organization’s 28th founding anniversary. The event was simulcast in various locales and group worship services in the region.

The gathering was led by the District Minister of Australia East, Bro. Teodorico S.P. Samson Jr. The attendees were all eager and happy to listen to the inspiring message from the Executive Minister. They were assured of their efforts being recognized and deeply appreciated by the church administration.

As an organization, SCAN has spread globally in the last 28 years.

The group has been established mainly to help save lives and respond during crises and calamities.

SCAN members were in the forefront of rescue operations and provided assistance in areas affected by major disasters all over the world.

Here in Australia, SCAN members actively participted in the relief operations that the Church administration organized for the victims of the Bundaberg flooding in early 2013.
