(Eagle News) — This photo by Eagle News correspondent Erdz Nolasco shows the 150-meter long Biliran bridge which connects the province of Leyte and Biliran.  Built in 1975, it is a favorite tourist spot in the Leyte-Samar region.

Biliran is an island province in the Philippines located in the Eastern Visayas region.  It is one of the country’s smallest and newest provinces.  Biliran was previously a sub-province of Leyte.  It became an independent province in 1992.
