Auto show displaying high end cars, bikes begins in Chennai

A four-day automobile exhibit, ‘Auto Circuit’, kicked off in India’s southern Chennai city on Thursday (March 19).

High-end and luxury cars and bikes were displayed at the event, which was flagged off by Alisha Abdullah, the first woman National Racing Champion.

Automobiles of several luxury brands, including Jaguar, Land Rover, Mini Cooper, Mercedes-Benz, Harley Davidson, Honda, etc have been displayed.

“This is like directly going and if you want to test-drive, you can take test-drive and different brands…you take out the cash, you take the loans, everything all the facilities are available at one shelter. So, this is a four-day show, very good start and we displayed about nearly 15 brands, including 35-40 automobiles are displayed. People are very keen to explore and everybody is visiting and they are actually sharing out thoughts,” said an organizer, Suresh Kumar Kurapaty.

Meanwhile, Abdullah said that the event provided an opportunity for patrons and automobile enthusiasts to see the best luxury cars and the fine nuances of these luxury vehicles in Chennai.

“This event is the right event for me because it’s an amazing thing that we from Chennai we also have something called luxury cars and luxury bikes which is coming now. So, I think thanks to media for bringing out such a great event or supporting this event and showcasing it to everywhere so that people are aware of it,” said Abdullah.

Mercedes-Benz plans to sell more compact cars to tap the fastest growing part of India’s premium car market, a move analysts say could help the German automaker overtake rival Audi as the country’s top luxury car seller.
