Atlanta Hawks vs. Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers (35-11) led a well-balanced attack against the Atlanta Hawks (32-24) for an easy 99-84 win at the Staples Center.

The Clippers seemed glad to be home from their Annual Grammy Road Trip as they had help from both the starters and the bench to secure the victory. The bench pulled together 42 points and helped the home team build a 22-point lead in the third quarter.

Griffin’s unselfish ways were showcased in this game as he dished out 9 assists to go along with his 17 points. Clippers Coach Doc Rivers said of Blake Griffin, “He makes all the players on the floor better.” Deondre Jordan, who was presented with his first All-Star jersey before tip-off, had 7 points and 16 rebounds for the clippers.

The Hawks struggled to keep the ball as they committed 20 turnovers for the game. They were led by Dwight Howard who had 11 points and 15 rebounds and Dennis Shroder who pitched in 15 points.

Up next for the Clippers is a week-long rest as the NBA enters All-Star Weekend.
