Alleged Maute financier arrested in Valenzuela

(Eagle News) — An alleged financier of the Maute terrorist group has been arrested in Valenzuela City.

Members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of the National Capital Region, Special Action Force, CIDG Eastern Police District and the National Capital Region Police Office arrested Aminkisa Romato Macadato in his hideout on P. Santiago St., Barangay Paso de Blas at 5:15 a.m. on Oct. 7.

Authorities said Macadato, a nephew of Farhana Maute, the Maute matriarch, is on martial law arrest orders issued by the Department of National Defense.

Recovered from Macadato was a .45-cal. pistol, ammunition and a hand grenade.

Macadato, who is now detained at the Valenzuela Police,  allegedly provided logistical support to Maute members while he was in hiding.
