AFP ease paranoia of bombings in Metro Manila malls

(Eagle News)– The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Wednesday nullifies the rumors of suicide bombing in Metro Manila malls due to circulating text message that such a deed would be carried out.

 

“In so far as the Armed Forces of the Philippines is concerned, we have not received any such kind of threat,”

AFP public affairs office chief Col. Edgard Arevalo assuredly said.
According to the text message, it was supposedly confirmed the daughter of Philippine National Police chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.
Arevalo however said that they will validate the report.
“In so far as the Armed Forces is concerned, we have not received any information. But be that as it may, we are taking note of that report so we can feed it to our intelligence personnel for them to validate if there is any [threat],”  he added.
