AAC WOMEN’S QUARTER FINALS UPDATE: UCONN Was Too Much For Tulsa.

The top ranked team crushed ninth seeded Tulsa Golden Hurricane 105-57 in the American Athletic Conference (AAC) quarterfinals tournament at the Mohegan Sun Arena. Leading the nation’s top ranked team were Co-Conference Players of the Year, Naphessa Collier scoring 24 points and Katie Lou Samuelson with 19 points.

Gabby Thomas added 17 as the Huskies never trailed and extended their NCAA record breaking winning streak to 105 games. This marked the twelfth time that the team went undefeated, going 30-0 this season.

Erika Wakefield led Tulsa with 15 points, who lost seven of their last eight games despite winning the opening round of the AAC Friday night.

Since the AAC was established during the 2013-14 season, UCONN has gone 80-0. The Huskies will play fourth seed University of Central Florida (UCF) in Sunday’s semifinals for a place in Monday’s championship game.
