Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay and other city officials have been served suspension orders by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Monday morning over the alleged overpricing of the Makati City Hall building 2.
The DILG served the suspension order around 8:20 a.m. at the Makati City Hall.
DILG National Capital Region Director Renato Brion, who brought the suspension order, said that Makati Vice-Mayor Romulo Pena will serve as the city’s acting mayor.
