LPA Egay dissipates but Southwest Monsoon persists in Luzon and Visayas

(Eagle News) – Low pressure area “Egay” has totally dissipated and only the Southwest Monsoon prevails in the country as of Tuesday, July 2, affecting Luzon and Visayas, according to PAGASA.

Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Mindoro provinces and Palawan will experience monsoon rains today, with possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

As of 8 a.m. PAGASA also issued a rainfall advisory which said that light to moderate rains are expected over Metro Manila, Nueva Ecija, Bataan and Cavite, while light to moderate rains were already affecting Tarlac, Zambales, Pampanga, Bulacan, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon.
