(Eagle News) — Isang patunay ng political will ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang muling pagbubukas ng Boracay makalipas ang anim na buwang rehabilitasyon.
Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo, bukod sa political will ng Pangulo, ang leksyon ng isla ay ang pagpapabaya ng mga responsableng opisyal sa pananatili ng kalinisan ng isla.
“Boracay is a lesson of political will, as exhibited by PRRD and yet, it is also a lesson of neglect, misfeasance and malfeasance by responsible persons in office,” ayon kay Panelo.
Hindi sana anya naging cesspool ang Boracay kung may political will ang mga otoridad gayundin ang stakeholders o mga negosyo sa isla sa pagsunod sa mga batas.
“It has to take the strong and decisive leadership of the President to put things in order and we should all learn from these lessons so that Boracay will become an attraction not only in this country but in the world,” ayon pa sa opisyal.
Gayunman ay pinuri ng Malacañang ang iba’t ibang ahensya ng gobyerno sa paglilinis sa Boracay.
