95.5 PINAS FM to ‘switch’ on September 30 with OPM artists

95.5 PINAS FM Station Manager Raymond Stone (seated, mid-left) and his team of DJs prepare for the ‘switch’ on September 30.

95.5 PINAS FM, the FM station of Eagle Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) will be relaunching its programming in an event dubbed “The Switch” at the Studio 1 of Eagle at the EBC Building along 25 Central Avenue, Quezon City.

“We invite everyone to listen and witness the unraveling of the new direction of PINAS FM. We have been known in the industry for pioneering the airing of pure OPM entertainment with the PINAS FM brand. This time, we will highlight our frequency 95.5, and thus we make that switch in our brand name by mentioning our frequency first,” Raymond Stone, 95.5 PINAS FM Station Manager said.

He also announced that the radio station will soon launch the 95.5 PINAS FM Logo Design Contest.

Beyond the simple switch, Stone emphasized, is a makeover.  “We will have a more defined and enriched programming of Filipino music that banners the talents of Filipino artists, springboarding new genres of Filipino songs to the world stage via on-air and online for a more uplifting and inspirational radio experience.   We want to inspire Filipinos all over the world and give them the platform to feel closer to home,” the Station Manager said.

The Switch event is a gathering of more than 20 OPM artists who will perform live at the Studio 1 of EBC.  The performers include the following: JayR,  Chris Lawrence, Kithara, Alex Bruce, Paolo and Miguel Guico, Kurei, Imago, Better Days, Banda ni Kleggy, Celina Marie, Drei Rana, TJ Monterde, SB19, Rapido, Brown, Aikee, Benj and the Collectives, Never the Strangers, Frio, Syd Hartha, We Got, and Gracenote.

Eagle Broadcasting President Rowena Dela Fuente-Deimoy said that this relaunching helps “to provide the venue for inspiring, nurturing, caring and uplifting music that highlights the Filipino’s artistry and creativity.”

“95.5 PINAS FM will share the beauty and authenticity of Filipino music and the relevance of the Filipino race, across generations, around the world. The Switch event will be formally launched to make 95.5 PINAS FM the global bridge home,” she added.
